Inorganic salt thermal insulation mortar is a new type of energy-saving mortar material used for plastering interior and exterior walls of buildings. Composition and Properties
Inorganic salt thermal insulation mortar is primarily made from inorganic lightweight insulation particles (such as fly ash cenospheres, glass beads, ordinary expanded perlite, polystyrene particles, and vitrified microspheres) as lightweight aggregates, combined with cementitious materials, anti-cracking additives, and other fillers. Its composition includes selected imported renewable dispersible polymer powder, inorganic cementitious materials, high-quality aggregates, and additives with functions such as water retention, enhancement, thixotropy, and crack resistance, pre-mixed and dry-blended. This material exhibits excellent acid and alkali resistance and corrosion resistance, ensuring no cracking or peeling during use, demonstrating high stability, and having no aging issues, allowing it to last as long as the building walls.
Application Scenarios and Construction Methods
Inorganic salt thermal insulation mortar is widely used for thermal insulation of interior and exterior walls of buildings, suitable for various types of wall substrates, including walls with complex shapes, exterior walls, interior walls, and even roofs and geothermal insulation layers. Its fully sealed, seamless, and cavity-free characteristics effectively reduce the formation of thermal bridges. Additionally, this material not only supports external wall insulation but can also be used for internal wall insulation or simultaneous internal and external insulation, providing great flexibility in the design of energy-saving systems.
Construction methods include the following steps:
Substrate Treatment: Ensure the substrate surface is free of dust, oil stains, and other debris that may affect bonding performance. In hot weather or when the substrate is dry, moisten the substrate with water.
Interface Agent Treatment: Mix the specialized interface agent for the insulation system according to a water-cement ratio of 1:4, stir until uniform, and apply it to the substrate in a serrated pattern.
Mortar Preparation: Mix the inorganic thermal insulation mortar according to a water-cement ratio of 4:5.5 into a slurry, ensuring it is uniform and free of lumps.
Construction: Apply the mortar according to energy-saving requirements. For layers thicker than 2cm, apply in multiple passes, with each layer spaced at least 24 hours apart. After construction, cure for 3-5 days, and perform waterproofing and protective layer construction.
